THE EXCURSIONS

What you will experience

These are the experiences planned, without a fixed day-by-day schedule: weather, opening times and the group’s pace shape each day.

West Coast wildflowers

SWARTLAND AND WEST COAST

Wildflowers and the Atlantic

  • Visit the town of Riebeek-Kasteel
  • Possible visit to a local olive-oil producer, depending on the group’s interest and timing
  • West Coast National Park and Postberg: spring wildflowers
  • Langebaan Lagoon
  • A long included lunch at Die Strandloper, with fish and West Coast specialities cooked over open fires
  • Possible whale sightings from the coast
  • Beach walks in Yzerfontein
  • One evening, a traditional wood-fired braai at the house as the sun sets over the Atlantic

A flexible pace

We favour time spent in each place over ticking off stops. The order of visits, pauses and free time can be adjusted along the way.

Nature decides

Table Mountain is weather-dependent. September flowers and whale sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed. Visits to Postberg depend on seasonal access.
