West Coast wildflowers

WEST COAST - 2 NIGHTS

Wildflowers and the Atlantic

Two nights in a private ocean-facing house in Yzerfontein.

ABOUT THE SWARTLAND AND WEST COAST

Where farmland meets the Atlantic

North of Cape Town, the Swartland unfolds in wheat fields, vineyards and olive groves around villages such as Riebeek-Kasteel. To the west, farmland gives way to long beaches, dunes and fishing villages, where the Atlantic sets the pace.

Yzerfontein faces the open ocean, while Langebaan Lagoon offers sheltered waters within the West Coast National Park. In the southern spring, wildflowers can transform the landscape, depending on rainfall and seasonal conditions. The region’s character is generous and unpretentious, shaped by seafood, cooking over open fires and wide, open spaces.

Nature decides

September flowers and whale sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed. A visit to Postberg depends on seasonal access.
